Building Disputes

It is almost impossible to build a house, or a commercial building, without some defects that need to be rectified.  When the communication between the builder and the owner is clear, the defects can usually be rectified and the building handed over without the need for lawyers to be involved.

Unfortunately, there are some cases where the builder refuses to acknowledge defects, or the owner has unrealistic expectations, and in those cases lawyers, and experts, need to get involved to help to resolve the dispute.

We have over 20 years of experience in dealing with building disputes of all kinds and we can help you to navigate:

  • Mediation through Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV)

  • Domestic building disputes in the Building and Property List at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT)

  • Commercial Building Disputes in the County Court and the Supreme Court
